Marketing Surgery for Balloon & Event Businesses | Kent

September 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
£20

Take a fresh, practical look at how you’re marketing your balloon or event business with this interactive Marketing Surgery, hosted by Angie George from Creative Craft Workshops at Datta’s Wholesale in Bromley.

Designed specifically for balloon and event professionals, this 2½-hour classroom-style session moves beyond simply telling you to post more on social media. Instead, you’ll put your own business under the microscope, identify what’s already working and uncover the areas of your marketing that could be holding you back.

You’ll begin with a Business Marketing Health Check, examining key areas including your branding, website, social media, reviews, photography, customer journey and overall visibility. Your results will help highlight where your business may need attention and guide the discussions throughout the session.

From there, you’ll explore the bigger marketing picture. You’ll look at whether your branding is memorable, whether your website is actually helping customers buy from you, how reviews and photography influence perceived value, and whether you truly understand who you’re marketing to.

You’ll also consider how customers discover, enquire and book with you, where your enquiries are really coming from and what would happen to your business if your social media accounts disappeared tomorrow.

This isn’t a lecture. The Marketing Surgery is deliberately interactive, giving you the opportunity to bring your own questions, discuss real challenges and learn from the experiences of other balloon and event businesses in the room.

Rather than leaving with an overwhelming list of everything you should be doing, the aim is to help you identify clear, realistic actions that can strengthen your marketing and move your business forward.

What you’ll explore:

📈 Completing your own Business Marketing Health Check
🎨 Building recognisable and consistent business branding
🌐 Understanding whether your website is working effectively for your customers
📱 Using social media as part of your marketing strategy rather than your entire strategy
⭐ Using customer reviews to build trust and credibility
📸 How photography can increase or reduce the perceived value of your work
🎯 Understanding who your ideal customers actually are
💬 Creating a clear message about why customers should choose your business
🛒 Improving the customer journey from discovery through to enquiry, booking and purchase
🤝 Using networking, referrals and local marketing to increase visibility
🔁 Making better use of previous customers rather than constantly chasing new ones
💷 Understanding how your marketing affects pricing and perceived value
📊 Measuring where your enquiries and bookings actually come from

Your investment includes:

  • 2½-hour interactive Marketing Surgery
  • Business Marketing Health Check
  • Practical marketing guidance specifically for balloon and event businesses
  • Opportunity to discuss your own marketing challenges and questions
  • Group discussion with other balloon and event professionals
  • Clear, realistic actions to take back into your business

This session is suitable for balloon artists and event professionals at any stage of business who want to better understand their marketing, improve their visibility and develop a more joined-up approach to attracting and converting customers.

You don’t need to arrive with a marketing strategy already in place. Bring your questions, challenges and the areas of your business you’re unsure about, and use the session as dedicated time to work on your business rather than simply in it.
